O.O wow.. this staircase has character.. it makes you wonder where it leads. you did a good job keeping the focus there. :)

wow. i like the ancient kind of feel to it, and the black and white is ace.
and to me...it's ummm...both. it's more forward but up at the same time:)

haha cool, thank you. I recently saw a photograph by someone, can't remember who...but it was of this fantastic stone staircase, that had worn down in time. It made me realise how much character is in these stone staircases.

heh, i didnt mean the picture, although it's crisp too :) i meant making the question of the stairs what people would likely focus on.

oh right, gotcha. Well you have to remember that it's a 2-dimensional image, so in actual fact isn't even an up or a forward. It's not until you feel like you are a part of the photograph, or experiencing the photograph as if you were there...and hopefully the photo can allow that to happen..
Do you interpret the question as looking at the photograph, or as feeling like you are there.

yeah there are quite a few staircase shots, and this is one of the good ones i've seen:)
